Domaine de Noire Chinon "Soif de Tendresse" Rouge 2008

The Wine
Region: Loire, France
Vineyards: Chinon
Grapes: Cabernet Franc
Oak: ???
Price: $15

Tasting Notes
Look: Dark purple (the cork bottom was PURPLE)
Smell: fruity, could smell alcohol
Attack:  berries, purple
Evolution: dry and juicy at the same time. tasty.
Finish: dry, not too long, good.

This vintage got 90 points from RP Wine Advocate.  Apparently it was very good very soon after it was bottled.  What we got out of the bottle wasn't bad, but it wasn't great.  We probably won't get it again.  Niki liked it more than Phil did.  Not worth the $15.

Overall, quite good.  It's a 2000 vintage, which means there's not many bottles left in the store.  If we see it again when we go back to the store, we'll get it again.  Phil drank 3/4 the bottle.

This wine is very good. Very worth the $16 we paid.  We will probably get another bottle when we go back to the store to get more wine.  We have had this wine before at a restaurant (paid $36 for the bottle) and the bartender told us where we could find it for ourselves.  We bought 2 bottles and we are saving the other one until 2013 (it's supposed to be quite good when aged).
