Tisdale Merlot NV

The Wine
Region: California
Vineyards: Tisdale Vineyards
Grapes: Merlot
Oak: ??? Probably none
Price: $4

Tasting Notes
Look: Light red or a translucent purple.
Smell: Fruity.
Attack: Immediately dry, you can taste the alcohol.
Evolution: Berries, mostly black cherry.
Finish: A little bitter, the flavor goes away but the dryness lingers.

This wine was on sale for cheap so we bought a bottle to cook with. We poured one glass to taste and the rest of the bottle went in a bag to marinate meat for boeuf a la bourguignonne. It's not the best merlot we've ever tasted, but it is definitely worth the money we paid. This is a great wine for cooking since it's cheaper than the cooking wine sold in grocery stores.
